To create a response to a major issue currently impacting our society and stimulate a dialogue for change.
I developed the concept of an exhibition that would display responses to the issue of misleading headlines and their ability to spread fake news. My aim was to make people consider the reliability of the sources they read. I then created one example of a display that could be in the exhibition. Taking one week’s editions of The Sun, The Star, and The Daily Mail, I picked out words from their headlines and re-edited them to create new, fake headlines. Finally, I created multiple screen prints to stimulate discussion.
This project was featured in Blueprint magazine issue 360 and Creative Bloq’s ‘8 up-and-coming designers to watch from D&AD New Blood.’
